Valued at 2s 6d in the Proclamation of 1800 by Governor King Indian Silver Rupees were struck across India for many years.  This example is strongly struck exhibiting gold toning across the coin, strong lustre in the fields and intact rims without any of the usual cracks or test marks.  A lovely example of a Proclamation Rupee and hard to improve on.
