Australia 1948 Penny Partial Collar / Ramstrike Error almost Uncirculated

Coin Type:Australia Penny
Mint:Royal Mint (Melbourne)
Obverse:George VI (Paget)
Reverse:Kangaroo (George Kruger Gray)

Mis-struck 1948M penny. Coin not aligned properly when struck and as such only partially engaged with collar die. This resulted in a very high lip typical of this sort of partial collar error. Colloquially known by Australian error collectors as a ramstrike error.

Coin is red-brown, reverse UNC, obverse almost UNC. Three spots on the obverse. While these detract this remains a premium example of this type of error.
