1949 penny struck with only partial collar engagement resulting in a high lip around about half the reverse. A so called ‘ramstrike’ error. The rim on the obverse is unusual from the EI of FIDEI around to BR suggesting there was some sort of interference between the die and the blank when struck. An interesting piece that warrants further study.
