This is a 2019 Bill the Steam Shovel $2 coin from the coloured $2 Mr. Squiggle series issued through Woolworths in early 2019. However, something has gone very wrong with this coin and the enamel / paint was applied to the obverse (heads) side of the coin rather than the reverse (tails).
Found in change in Tasmania and almost spent on a loaf of bread this coin is lightly circulated. Still, this is one of less than 10 coloured $2 coins we’ve seen with the paint applied to the wrong side and the first error of the type from the Mr. Squiggle series that has been sighted.
