Between October 30th and November 2nd 2014 the Royal Australian Mint attended the ANZAC Albany celebrations in remembrance of the date and location 100 years ago when our ANZAC troops left Australian soil. During this event their mobile coin press struck AL (for Albany) counterstamps onto circulating 100 years of ANZAC dollar coins and sold them in a special folder. The Mint struck 14,913 of these AL counterstamps.
