1964 penny struck on a defective planchet. Note the metal impurity flaw on the obverse at about 7pm. The crack in the planchet extends right to the shoulder of the Queen. On the reverse the crack is even more evident affecting the NY of penny and some of the rim denticles are missing. Errors of this type are not often seen.
